Abstract
The origin of the unique activity of small Pt clusters supported on TiO2(1Â 1Â 0) was investigated for the low-temperature water-gas shift (WGS) reaction. The reaction follows a redox mechanism and the elementary steps occurring on the TiO2 support, such as H2O dissociation and H diffusion, largely control the overall rate.118
