Abstract
⺠Zn decreased both the rate of methanation and CH4 selectivity. ⺠Zn increased the surface residence time of active intermediates. ⺠The surface concentration of CO was largely unaffected by Zn. ⺠The effect of Zn on hydrocarbon formation decreased with increasing chain length.
