Abstract
⺠Mechanism of the Pt-catalyzed hydrosilylation of allyl compounds. ⺠Byproducts are formed via different reaction pathways. ⺠Oxidative addition and insertion into the Pt-H bond represent the crucial, selectivity-determining steps. ⺠DFT calculations support the experimental results.
