Preparation of hierarchical β and Y zeolite-containing mesoporous silica-aluminas and their properties for catalytic cracking of n-dodecane

► Hierarchical zeolite-containing mesoporous silica-aluminas were prepared. ► Both β- and Y-zeolite crystal structures were maintained in the catalysts. ► A zeolite-containing catalyst showed comparable activities with single zeolites. ► Branched products increased linearly against conversion regardless of zeolite used. ► The presence of both mesopores and acid sites in a matrix brought branched products.
