Abstract
⺠A bifunctional SCILL (“Solid Catalyst with Ionic Liquid Layer”) system with acidic and hydrogenation functions is presented. ⺠High activity and selectivity in n-octane skeleton isomerization have been shown. ⺠Activity and selectivity of the SCILL catalyst increase with increasing H2-pressure. ⺠Cooperative interaction of Pt, acidic ionic liquid, and hydrogen is demonstrated. ⺠The catalyst system shows remarkable activity at 120 °C and 40 bar hydrogen pressure.
