Abstract
⺠O2 plasma was used at 25 °C to activate dendrimer-derived Pt/γ-Al2O3 catalysts. ⺠FTIR results show that the plasma treatment decomposes the dendrimer component. ⺠The presence of Pt in the sample does not affect the dendrimer decomposition rate. ⺠No dissociation of the Pt-Pt bonds is observed during the O2 plasma treatment. ⺠Average Pt particle size remains approximately the same after the plasma treatment.
