Abstract
ⶠEthanol is a promising raw material for green chemistry processes. ⶠThe condensation step occurs between ethoxide species and acetaldehyde. ⶠOxides with strong basic sites generated the most active and selective catalysts. ⶠThe spillover of acetaldehyde occurs during the ethyl acetate synthesis. ⶠSpillover can be observed employing physical mixtures comprised of catalysts.
