Abstract
The potential powerful role of SmPO4 playing in inorganic/organic bulk-heterojunction solar cell was explored and the innate photogeneration dynamics was unveiled. The energy levels of conduction band as well as valence band of acceptor TiO2 have been evaluated by 0.57Â eV and 0.32Â eV, respectively. Consequently the hot electron transfer time from donor to acceptor shortens by 40% (i.e., from Ïh-e=30.2 to 17.9Â ps) and the hole transfer time has been boosted by almost 20% (i.e., from 6.92 to 5.58Â ns). After incorporating SmPO4 into TiO2 films, inorganic/organic bulk-heterojunction solar cell delivers an improved power conversion efficiency of approaching 3% at 5Â wt% as compared to 1.98% of pure TiO2.182
