Abstract
⺠ESPI method was used as a tool for rapid quality assessment of PV cells. ⺠Short duration heating induces cell-bowing large enough for hairline crack detection. ⺠Speckle patterns imparted allow for quantification of crack size, location and type. ⺠Both surface and through cracks were manifested by chevron-shaped and broken fringes.
