Abstract
⺠Spatial spread predictions, e.g. fire or disease, are rarely objectively validated. ⺠We developed a method to assign landmarks to vector driven spread patterns. ⺠Landmark based methods can objectively assess spread predictions. ⺠Discrimination of error sources allows model verification and calibration.
