Abstract
Temperature wave solution predicted by hyperbolic heat conduction model is developed for a hollow sphere exposed to laser pulse heating. Using the obtained analytical solution, the temperature distribution, the propagation and reflection of the temperature wave due to such heat pulse is investigated for different thermal relaxation time and laser pulse duration. The effect of geometry on the temperature profile is also studied and the results of the hyperbolic and Fourier model are compared.
