Abstract
- Two fatal cases of pulmonary vasculitis in abusers of levamisole-adulterated cocaine.
- Lungs showed microscopically lymphocytic infiltration of the walls of small vessels.
- Levamisole was quantified in blood, urine and hair samples by GC-MS.
- When levamisole is detected, the lungs should be closely examined.
- Levamisole and adulterants may represent an additional health threat.
