Abstract
- We evaluated the performance of markers in experiments that mimic forensic routines.
- Luminescent gunshot residues (LGSR) were transferred to objects handled by shooters.
- We collected LGSR in unconventional locations (e.g. the shooters' nostrils).
- The LGSR presented long lifetime and good resistance to hand washing.
- The use of 2Â wt% of marker allows the LGSR detection, collection and analysis.
