Abstract
- Hand-bones are sexually dimorphic in a Western Australian population; male mean > female mean.
- Maximum length of MC3 has the largest mean sex difference between males and females (5.77Â mm).
- The most sexually dimorphic measurement is the base width of PP2 (FÂ =Â 363.88; PÂ <Â 0.001).
- The highest cross-validated accuracy is achieved using base width of PP5 (85.3%; sex bias â4.0%).
- Stepwise DFA (8 variables) resulted in a cross-validated accuracy of 91.00% (sex bias â6.00%).
