Abstract
⺠This is the first LES study of the turbulent pipe flow with temporal acceleration. ⺠An initial delay followed by a subsequent rapid increase and a pseudo-steady state. ⺠Delays for turbulence production, redistribution, and radial propagation identified. ⺠Sweeps and ejections are related to turbulence production and radial propagation.
