Abstract
► Heat transfer in gas-solid flow is studied numerically and experimentally. ► The Eulerian-Lagrangian approach is utilized to simulate the process. ► The model is validated for high speed flow and a good agreement is obtained. ► It is noticed that the equilibrium temperature is affected by the flow conditions. ► Pressure drop increases as the solid mass flow rate and particle diameter increases.
