Abstract
Globally, when blood lead levels were expressed in μg/dL, anemia was responsible for such an underestimation of lead internal dose that it conducted to an inappropriate management of children lead exposure and poisoning in 3098 cases (10.73%). In children with anemia (whatever is the cause of the latter), adjustment of blood lead levels on blood hemoglobin concentration is mandatory for appropriate management.
