Abstract
⺠A model is proposed for Reynolds averaged bypass transition. ⺠It consists of an intermittency equation. ⺠The model uses local variables, with no correlation to fix transition. ⺠Diffusion initiates transition; a source term completes it. ⺠Favorable comparisons are made to experiment.
