Abstract
⺠A time-developing direct numerical simulations are done for water along a heated vertical plate. ⺠The objective is to see the effects of free streams on the combined-convection boundary layers. ⺠There are no reports for water with direct numerical simulation in this regards. ⺠An experiment is also conducted on the transitional and turbulent boundary layer in water. ⺠This is to collect informations on the integral thickness of the velocity boundary layer.
