Abstract
► The flow around and through a porous sphere is simulated. ► The recirculating wake is either detached from or penetrates the porous sphere. ► The wake may shrink and eventually disappear with increasing Reynolds number. ► The body surface curvature affects initial position of onset of recirculating wake.
