⺠This research analyzes 450 prototype and production electric vehicle models. ⺠It examines the industrial dynamics of firms, technologies and target markets. ⺠Variety in battery chemistry has increased from 2004-2011. ⺠The number of startup firms has increased from 2004-2011. ⺠Startup firms and incumbents target different electric vehicle markets.
