Abstract
107A crystal resonator at the megahertz frequency is applied for the precision measurement of evaporation kinetics of binary (methanol and 1-butanol) fluids. The figure shows the transient impedance signal in terms of the shift of the resonant frequency versus time for the measurement of evaporation of liquid mixtures initially containing 50, 70, and 90Â wt% of methanol, respectively. The evaporation rate is extracted from the resonant spikes and compared with theoretical prediction.
