Abstract
This paper presents the results of experimental research on shell-side heat transfer coefficient concerning 3 heat exchangers with helical coils. Measurements were carried in laboratory and the following correlation was found to be adequate Nu = 0.50 ⋅ Re0.55 ⋅ Pr 1/3 ⋅ (η/ηw)0.14 where Re and Nu are based on shell-side hydraulic diameter.
