Abstract
▸ A pH dependent rheological model is developed for in situ cross-linked acids (ICA). ▸ A two-scale continuum model is presented to describe reactive transport of ICA. ▸ Wormhole formation in carbonates with ICA is analyzed. ▸ The mechanism of flow diversion is identified. ▸ Scaling analysis is used to estimate optimum injection rates and wormhole diameter.
