Abstract
⸠A pH dependent rheological model is developed for in situ cross-linked acids (ICA). ⸠A two-scale continuum model is presented to describe reactive transport of ICA. ⸠Wormhole formation in carbonates with ICA is analyzed. ⸠The mechanism of flow diversion is identified. ⸠Scaling analysis is used to estimate optimum injection rates and wormhole diameter.
