Abstract
▸ A number of engineering aspects in ethane ODH over Ni0.85Nb0.15 are investigated. ▸ C2H6/O2=2 and 10% C2H6/5% O2 are selected as the optimum feed composition. ▸ Staged oxygen admission leads to an increase in ethylene selectivity. ▸ Preliminary testing under fluid bed conditions proved promising. ▸ Ni0.85Nb0.15Ox mixed oxide catalyst was found to be satisfactorily stable.
