Abstract
⸠Freshly grown S. cerevisiae cells were sorted by number of bud scars using FACS. ⸠Mechanical properties of the sorted cells were found by compression testing. ⸠69% of cell walls were linear elastic to bursting but only 32% of daughter cells. ⸠Scars caused mechanical property differences between daughter and mother cells.
