Abstract
▸ Our new model simulated different membrane tube arrangements in fluidized beds. ▸ Employing submerged membrane tubes the solids distribution is more homogeneous. ▸ Solids motion, bubble size and gas back-mixing are significantly reduced. ▸ The presence of the membrane tubes has a much larger effect than the permeation.
