Abstract
⺠Optimal cooling profiles incorporating dissolution have been derived for CSD control. ⺠Based on the solutions, a feedback control scheme has been introduced. ⺠The controller regulates the second moment only at the early stage. ⺠Extensive simulation studies show the controller is robust and performs quite well.
