Abstract
⺠Octacalcium phosphate (OCP) and hydroxyapatite (HAP) growth in the presence of Sr2+. ⺠Measurements of the kinetics of crystal growth at constant supersaturation. Rates of crystal growth of OCP and HAP in the presence of Sr2+ were reduced. ⺠Incorporation of Sr2+ into the crystal lattice of both OCP and HAP crystals. ⺠Sr2+ stabilized or delayed the transformation of the unstable OCP to HAP.
