Abstract
The paper presents the results of experimental studies of jet flowing through axisymmetric reverse chamber. The test results are presented in the form of distributions of components of axial and radial velocities and their fluctuations. The Investigated cases of the phenomena include the flow with the interaction of the walls, and therefore have characteristics of free-and confined flows. The results obtained were juxtaposed with the results obtained for free jets and impinging jets. The results are presented in the form of normalized radial distributions for different positions of the outlet of the inner tube against the bottom of the reverse chamber. Research is intended to demonstrate the similarities and differences between free and confined jets. The results obtained show the influence of the distance between the outlet of the inner tube and the bottom of the chamber on the evolution of jets in a model reverse chamber.
