Abstract
Novel sugar-based supergelators comprising azo dyes were synthesized and their thermo-, pH-, and photo-responsive behavior were investigated. Gelator 2b was successfully utilized as chemosensor for selective detection of Cu2+ ion via supramolecular sol-gel conversion.161
