Abstract
Highly stable silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) with three different shapes (i.e spherical (Sp), star (St) and pyramidal (Py)) have been synthesized via simple wet chemical approach. Among all the three shapes, St-Ag-NPs with more exposed catalytic active sites and fast diffusion of ions between electrode-electrolyte interfaces showed highest electrocatalytic sensing efficacy in terms of linear range, limit of detection and sensitivity. Further, the designed electrode has been successfully applied to monitor H2O2 level in poultry water over a wide linear range, with good recycling assay even in the presence of co-existing electro-active species.170
