Abstract
This work reveals the underlying interactions of surface coated Li2SiO3 with LiPF6-based electrolyte, thus providing clear elucidation in the improvement mechanism of Li2SiO3-coated LMNCO electrode. It is found that the generated LiMnNiCoSiO surface solid solution helps to facilitate the surface kinetics of LMNCO electrode upon cycling, which essentially leads to the enhanced structural and thermal stabilities of LMNCO materials.281
