Abstract
The effect of air jet impinging on the mass transfer characteristics from a rotating spinning cylinder surface are investigated experimentally. The effects of rotational Reynolds number Rer, jet-exit Reynolds number Rej, the nozzle width-to-cylinder diameter ratio B/d, and the ratio of the distance between nozzle exit and the front of cylinder to nozzle width L/B on the mean Sh¯ are determined. The phenomena of the first and second critical points is analyzed and validated. On the basis of experimental data, the correlation equation is obtained.
