Abstract
The analytical solution to a thermal problem of friction during braking, which simulates the process of frictional heating in the disc/pad/caliper tribosystem, has been obtained. It is assumed that the pressure during braking is time-dependent, and the heat transfer takes place through a contact surface of the pad and the disc. The influence of duration of increase in pressure from zero (in the initial moment of time of braking) to nominal value (at the stop) and an amplitude of the pressure fluctuations on the temperature have been studied.
