Abstract
Effect of catalyst potential, U, on the product selectivity of CO2 hydrogenation to CH4 and CO on Ru supported on K-βâ³-Al2O3, a K+ conductor. The potential, UWR, and work function, Φ, control the rate of potassium removal from or supply to the Ru catalyst. The product selectivity to CH4 varies reversibly between â¼0% and 100% upon varying the catalyst potential, UWR, by less than 1.2 V.
