Abstract
- Potentiometric responses to pH and Brâ are observed at oxide-coated gallium electrodes.
- In addition, gallium electrodes anodized in H2SO4 exhibit Nernstian responses to SO42â.
- The response to SO42â reflects the presence of sulfate doped into the anodic oxide.
- Surface oxide layers are formed as a result of reactions in aqueous solution.
- The results offer basic knowledge required for electroanalytical applications of gallium.
