Abstract
A novel biomass-derived N-doped carbon catalyst for fuel cell cathode is synthesized using nori as precursor. The catalyst has graphene-like structure, and exhibits excitingly high ORR activity in an alkaline medium, excellent tolerance to methanol, and impressive stability. Its ORR activity is comparable even superior to that of JM Pt/C catalyst.
