Abstract
A novel electrochemical sensing platform was proposed for label-free detection of uracil DNA glycosylase activity based on enzyme-catalyzed removal of uracil bases inducing strand release. Methylene blue as an electrochemical hybridization indicator can be released from the electrode surface, which is responsible for a measurable reduction of the redox signal.
