Abstract
An efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution has been developed based on exfoliation of bulk MoS2 crystals via a direct dispersion and ultrasonication method. Drop-casting method is used to fabricate the exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets modified glass carbon electrode (E-MoS2/GCE) with various loadings. The E-MoS2/GCE with electrode loading of 48 μg cmâ1 exhibits high catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution with a low overpotential (â0.12 V) and a high current density (1.26 mA cmâ2, at η = 150 mV).
