Abstract
► Meaningful comparison was achieved by using strictly the same experimental conditions. ► Dependency of LTO-electrochemical properties on the synthesis method was demonstrated. ► Differences in electrochemical properties were explained by morphological features. ► LTO-SG sample synthesized by sol-gel exhibits the best electrochemical performances. ► New Li-ion Li4Ti5O12//LiCo2/3Ni1/6Mn1/6O2 full cells show remarkable cycleability (QRt-50 > 90%).
