Abstract
► Zn based biobattery was employed for testing novel biocathodes. ► Cell power and potentials of each electrode were simultaneously measured under changing external loads. ► Covalently arylated SWCNTs improve laccase direct communication with electrode. ► Current density for electrodes modified with terphenylated nanotubes exceeded 1.5 mA/cm2.
