Abstract
The thermophysical properties of Ga-Zn eutectic alloy with different amounts of Sn additions were studied using the discharge crucible method (DC). The density, surface tension and viscosity of eutectic Ga-Zn with 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 90â¯wt. % of Sn were measured in the 323-773â¯K temperature range. The density and viscosity increase with increased Sn content. In the case of surface tension, a decrease was observed with higher amounts of Sn additions. Models such as Brillo and Egry for density, Sato, Kucharski, Moelywen-Hughes, Kozlov, Romanov and Petrov, Budai-Kaptay, Schick and GÄ
sior in the case of viscosity and Kohler, Toop, Muggiano and Butler model in relation to surface tension were used to study the system further. The experimental results showed good agreement with the chosen models.
