RETRACTED: Coniferyl-alcohol lignin as a bio-antioxidant for petroleum asphalt: A quantum chemistry based atomistic study

The article has significant similarity to a paper that has already been published in Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research 51 (2012) 7957 (DOI: http://pubs.acsorg/doi/abs/10.1021/ie3007215). One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that the paper is not under consideration for publication and has not been published elsewhere. As such, this article represents an abuse of the scientific publishing system. The journal offers apologies to its readers that this was not detected during the submission process.
