Abstract
In this paper CO2 reforming combined with partial oxidation of methane was carried out over MgAl2O4 supported Ni catalysts with various Ni loadings. MgAl2O4 with high specific surface area was synthesized by co-precipitation method with the addition of pluronic P123 triblock copolymer as surfactant. The results demonstrated that methane conversion in combined reforming is significantly increased with increasing the Ni content. The 7 wt.% Ni/MgAl2O4 catalyst showed no carbon formation in combined and partial oxidation of methane. The long term stability test was also showed high catalytic stability for 7% Ni/MgAl2O4 catalyst in combined, partial oxidation and dry reforming of methane.
