Abstract
⺠An external circulating countercurrent moving bed system for catalytic steam gasification of biomass has been proposed. ⺠Tar content of as low as 2 g/Nm3 in product gas has been obtained with calcined olivine as bed material. ⺠Gasification performance is improved with the increase of the catalyst bed height of the gasifier.
