Abstract
⺠Partial oxidation converts tars into polyaromatic hydrocarbons, primarily naphthalene. ⺠Above 950 °C practically all phenol is converted. ⺠High temperature and excess air ratios contribute positively. ⺠High moisture contents of the biomass enhance the decomposition of phenol.
