Abstract
⺠Bark is an important part of any woody biomass but its pyrolysis behaviour is relatively poorly understood. ⺠During pyrolysis, bark behaves very differently from other parts of the same tree. ⺠Bio-oil from the rapid pyrolysis of mallee bark in a fluidised-bed reactor tends to separate into two phases.
