Abstract
⺠The flame dynamics is different in the deflection zone near the stagnation region. ⺠Reduced models develop less vortical and wrinkled flames. ⺠The excess of combustion heat-release has a dissipative effect on the flow field. ⺠Simplified mechanisms show a poor prediction of the flame/turbulence interactions. ⺠Chemical kinetics has an important effect on species formation and destruction.
