Abstract
► Substituted La1−xSrxFeO3 perovskites were synthesized and characterized. ► Reactivity of the perovskites for chemical-looping reforming of methane was evaluated. ► The synthesized perovskites exhibited good reactivity and repeatability. ► Sr substitution can inhibit methane decomposition in methane reaction. ► An optimal range of the degree of Sr substitution is x = 0.3-0.5.
